The Mission of Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity Inc.: Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity Inc. develops leaders, promotes brotherhood and academic excellence while providing service and advocacy for our communities.

VISION

The Vision of Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity Inc.: to stimulate the ambition of its members, to prepare them for the greatest usefulness in the causes of humanity, freedom, and dignity of the individual, to encourage the highest and noblest form of manhood, to aid downtrodden humanity in its efforts to achieve higher social, economic and intellectual status.

The mission of the ETL Education Foundation College Tour is to expose primarily African-American and Latino high school students to the variety of higher education options offered by historically Black colleges and universities, and through campus visitation provide opportunities for students to observe and participate in aspects of college life and interact with admissions personnel.

The Martin Luther King Jr., Commemorative Luncheon: This program, which occurs on the fourth Saturday of February every year, is a hallmark program that highlights persons of color in the Long Island area for their commitment to activism, civil rights, and justice as Dr. King did.

SPHINX

MENTORING

The Sphinx Mentoring program is a socio-emotional support program for young men of color in 8th grade through 12th grade. Through this program, the chapter educates local young men on the importance of academic, social, and emotional health.

MLO MENTORING

This program partners with a selected middle school or group of middle schools. The program is geared toward seventh and eighth grade male students with the intention of following and serving as many members of the cohort as possible through high school and beyond.  The 2018-2019 program is anchored by the My Words, Strong Words Project.
